The Humanitarian Coalition brings together leading aid organizations to provide Canadians with a simple and effective way to help during international humanitarian disasters. Member agencies join forces to raise funds by mobilizing media, businesses and individual Canadians. Together, we are saving more lives.
When disaster strikes, the Humanitarian Coalition can provide help quickly to those who need it most. Whether it be a major international emergency or smaller to medium-scale crisis, our member agencies are ready to provide assistance and save lives.
Your support is vital in helping us reach survivors of disasters. There are many different ways to help. Find out how..
A major humanitarian emergency usually involves death, displacement and destruction on a large scale. When the situation is of particular interest to Canadians and Canadian media, the Humanitarian Coalition brings twelve of Canada’s leading aid agencies together to inform and solicit Canadians.
When a humanitarian crisis is more localized, affects fewer people or generates less public interest, the Humanitarian Coalition remains ready to respond through its member organizations, with the support of Global Affairs Canada through the Canadian Humanitarian Assistance Fund.
Our members are active 24/7 in many different countries, responding to the humanitarian needs as disasters unfold. You can read more about these crises, or make a donation directly to one of our agencies to help them deliver life-saving aid.
Your gift will enable us to respond quickly and effectively when the next disaster strikes.
Regular donations support emergency relief work for disasters that don’t make the news.
